Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using SiteHosts services. By creating an account or purchasing a service, you agree to the terms below.

Last updated: January 2026

1. About SiteHosts

SiteHosts provides UK-based web hosting, domain registration, and related digital services. These terms apply to all services provided by SiteHosts, including any add-ons, agency services, or support delivered through our client area.

2. Account eligibility & responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use our services. You are responsible for maintaining accurate contact details, keeping your login credentials secure, and ensuring your account activity complies with these terms.

3. Service availability & changes

We aim to provide reliable services with high uptime. Planned maintenance, security updates, or network improvements may cause temporary interruptions. We may modify or discontinue services if necessary, but we will provide reasonable notice where practical.

4. Billing, renewals & refunds

Billing cycles are shown at checkout and in your dashboard. Services renew automatically unless you disable auto-renew or cancel before renewal. You are responsible for keeping your payment method up to date.

Refund eligibility depends on the service type and usage. Domain registrations, transfers, and renewals are typically non-refundable once processed. Hosting refunds, if available, are subject to our published refund policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use our services for illegal, harmful, or abusive activity. This includes but is not limited to malware, phishing, unsolicited bulk email, infringement of intellectual property, or activities that impact the stability or security of our network.

We may suspend or terminate services that violate this policy, including content that causes legal or security risk to SiteHosts or other customers.

6. Domains & DNS

Domain services are provided through accredited registrars and are subject to registry rules. You must provide accurate registrant details. Domain changes (nameserver or DNS updates) may take time to propagate. SiteHosts is not responsible for delays caused by registry or third-party systems.

7. Backups & data responsibility

We perform automated backups on many plans, but backups are not a guarantee and do not replace your own copies. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of critical data, especially before major changes.

8. Support & response times

Support is provided via email and ticketing. Response times vary by request type and service level. We aim to respond quickly and resolve issues fairly, but we do not guarantee resolution times for all requests.

9. Third-party services

Some services are delivered via third-party providers, including payment processors and domain registrars. Their terms may also apply. SiteHosts is not responsible for third-party service interruptions outside our control.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate services for non-payment, security risk, violation of these terms, or legal compliance reasons. You may cancel your services at any time from your dashboard. If services are terminated, data may be deleted after a reasonable period.

11. Liability

SiteHosts is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or data, except where required by law. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the affected service over the 12 months prior to the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice via email or your dashboard. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.
